This year’s memorial liturgy, once again celebrated by former Chaplain Fr. Philip Majka, was well attended. Although the Mass was for the souls of for deceased members of Pope John Paul II Council 4522, special emphasis was for those 12 members and former members who had died since last November’s liturgical celebration:

Fr. Majka’s homily, based on the Gospel reading for the Mass (Mt. 5, 1-12) offered much food for thought on how we respond in our daily lives to Jesus’ call to action. We would like to thank the Casey Women’s Club, especially Geri Owen & Ethel Apostolico, for providing refreshments after the Mass.
