Annual Appalachian Mission Project

Led by PGK Joe Lynem, Brothers of Council 4522 braved the rain and dreary weather in the Queen of Apostles’ parking lot on Saturday, October 8, 2016 to load a 40’ box truck full of donated items to go to needy families in support of the Father Beiting Appalachian Mission in Eastern Kentucky. This substantial effort by the 4522 Knights has been an annual event for well over a decade.

The donated items were too numerous to annotate, but safe to say the less fortunate families in Kentucky received several rooms of furniture, several hundred pounds of clothing, pots, pans, china, toddler toys, vacuums, and even a bathroom sink and a church pew!!  Many thanks go out to our two load masters, DGK Roger Williams and PGK Craig Delaney, and their able body crew of GK Cesar Anchiraico, PGK/PFN Richard Owen, PGK Al Avellino, Brother Joe King, Brother Daniel Zaharevich, Brother Greg Bacani, Brother Joe Lipari and of course, PGK and leader of the pack, Brother Joe Lynem.  Council 4522 would also like to thank Karen Lee, who has helped immensely in the coordination of this effort over the years.
