Knights In Action
The annual Knights of Columbus Free Throw Contest was held at Queen of Apostles in the St Joseph Hall gymnasium, for boys and girls ages 9-14, from both Queen of Apostles and St Philip parishes, and from other schools in the area. This youth activity was a fun event and everyone who competed received a certificate of participation. The winners of the various age groups advanced to the District Level competition held on February 21st at St Leo School Gymnasium at 9 AM. Due to the limited availability of the Queen of Apostle gymnasium, and in an attempt to make it easier for the players to participate, instead of holding it on one day as in the past, it was held on three days during the various teams’ practices at St Joseph Hall. This year's contest was headed by Youth Director Brian Vacarro. The winners and runners-up received a special certificate, and the winners received a K of C Trophy.
