FRANK M. ZAPPACOSTA On December 26, 2008 of Alexandria, VA, Frank went to be with the Lord and to once again join his wife, Helen, of 47 years. He will be deeply missed by his daughter, Sandra Gaines; his granddaughters, Lisa Donnelly and Shari Miller and husband, Kenny; his brother, Gene Zappacosta and wife, Sally; and great-grandchildren, Sean, Jack and Reese. He was an Accountant at the General Accounting Office for 30 years and also served a term as a Vice President of the National Association of Accountants of which he had been a member for over 60 years. A visitation will take place on Thursday, January 1, 2009 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Demaine Funeral Home, 5308 Backlick Rd. Springfield, VA. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Friday, January 2, 2009, 11 a.m. at Queen of Apostles Catholic Church, 4329 Sano St., Alexandria, VA 22312 with burial to follow at Fairfax Memorial Park. Donations can be made to the American Heart Association, the American Lung Association and So Others May Eat.
